Samar Nassar
Board Member, United Arab Football Association
Drawing on her passion for sports, experience as an Olympic athlete and professional background in sports management and consultancy, Samar Nassar advocates for positive social change and youth development from the diverse positions she occupies.

Believing in the power of sports, she spearheaded the Local Organising Committee of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Jordan 2016 as CEO. Under her capacity, Nassar orchestrated every aspect of the international tournament, ensuring the successful delivery of an unforgettable and inspiring FIFA event that created an enduring legacy for Jordan.
Today, Nassar acts as Board Member of the United Arab Football Association and Jordan Football Association and sits on multiple committees within the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC).
Formerly, she served as Board Member of the JOC where she initiated several high performance and development programs. Furthermore, Nassar headed the Athlete’s Commission and assumed the role of Chief of Mission of the Jordanian delegation to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

​Away from sports, Nassar is a Board Member of the International Women's Forum (IWF) - Jordan Chapter and is a staunch supporter of female empowerment and leadership advancement. She remains actively committed to mentoring and guiding entrepreneurs and women through various organizations and programs such as EY, IWF, INJAZ Business Leaders Campaign and MyStartup. Moreover, Nassar is a member of Generations for Peace, a global non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable peace building and conflict transformation.
