Founder, Qabale Duba Foundation

Qabale Duba is a graduate nurse and having master in Epidemiology. Qabale is the founder of Qabale Duba foundation, a community based organization that is empowering pastoralists girls and women through education. Qabale started a school that serves nomadic pastoralists children in the morning and the classes are used as adult learning center by the illiterate parents in the evening. Qabale Foundation has the aim of bridging the gap and empower the communities in all aspects.

​Qabale is the first graduate girl from her village of Torbi in Marsabit county Kenya. She is the first Miss Tourism Kenya Peace and Investment 2014/2014. Qabale was chosen to represent Kenya in Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders (YALI 2016) in USA. Qabale was the guest speaker of the first ever African youth summit organized by Junior Chamber International(JCI).
Qabale is a board member of a vibrant youth movement called Youth in Action by Amref Health Africa. She is Akili Dada Fellow 2017. Qabale was among the 10 inaugural class of Nonprofit coach global leaders fellowship 2018. Qabale won the McKinsey and company Next Generation Women Leaders Award 2017. Qabale was a grantee for the pollination project 2018. She won Zuri awards 2019. She won Diversity and inclusions gender champion award in Kenya 2019. Qabale was awarded the young achievers of the year by Marsabit county during 2019 international women’s day. Qabale Won Global Citizen’s choice award in New York in September 2019. She got all these recognitions and awards because of her noble work to empower rural girls and women in northern Kenya.
