About the Event
Yin/Restore The Yin Yoga class will be from the comfort of your home to support physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Yin yoga helps strengthen the connective tissues and maximise our mobility/flexibility. It also clears the energy channel, increases energy flow and circulation to clear the blockage that is created by stress and trauma.
Each pose stimulates the meridian (energy channel that we use in Chinese Traditional Medicine) that associates with each inner organ. Organs are home for emotions and feelings. We also stress the connective tissue (ligaments, tendons, fascia) where emotion and feeling are held and trapped. As we massage the connective tissue in Yin Yoga practice we also get some opportunity to release the trapped emotional that may be causing the physical tension.
We also pay attention to each Chakra (energy gate / junction) as we come in to and hold the pose. Each Chakra associates with different element and qualities. (Earth, Water, Fire, Air. Survival, emotional, self-acceptance, love, communication, and observation.)
This session gives great opportunity to observe inwards and heal from roots.
The class is for all levels and all you will need is comfortable clothes, a yoga mat, and presence of body and mind.
