Dana Suyyagh is the CEO of AlMamlaka; Jordan's only Public Service News Channel, which launched in 2017. Before joining AlMamlaka, she was the Executive Editor of Alarab News Channel in Bahrain.

 

Dana started her career in journalism at Al Jazeera Headquarters in Doha in 1997, and worked the ranks of the newsroom leading up to managing the main flagship evening news ‘Hasad Al Yawm’, In 2003 she left to join the launch team of Alarabiya in Dubai. There she set up and helmed several of the channel’s flagship shows, including ‘Panorama’ and ‘Saba7 Alarabiya’. She was also Executive Producer of Special Coverage and Breaking news at the channel.

 

In 2005, she moved back home to join ATV, Jordan’s first privately-owned TV station, as Head of News and Current Affairs. She was also Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah’s Director of Media and Communication for 5 years until 2012. Dana is a graduate of the University of Toronto in Canada
