Kesha Cash

Founder, Impact America Fund

Kesha Cash co-launched Jalia Ventures in 2010 with the support of Josh Mailman and Serious Change, LP. Her responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, negotiating deal terms, and providing business support to portfolio companies. Kesha is a Red Rabbit advisory board member and has been instrumental in helping the company grow from less than $1 million of revenue in 2010 with 13 employees to over $7 million of revenue in 2013 with 130 employees.

Prior to Jalia Ventures, Kesha spent three years as a mergers and acquisitions analyst at Merrill Lynch and then six years as a consultant to inner-city businesses in Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. She worked with founders to raise seed capital, develop growth plans, and implement operational processes and procedures. In the summer of 2009, Kesha worked in London at Bridges Ventures, a leading $475 million UK private investment firm that delivers both financial and social returns. While at Bridges Ventures, she evaluated investment opportunities in social housing, microfinance and business services, and assisted the deal team with writing approval and investment memorandums.

From 2009 – 2013, Kesha served on the Columbia Advisory Committee for Social Responsible Investing and advised the University Trustees on ethical and social issues that arise in the management of the investments in the University’s endowment. Kesha is a member of the Social Venture Network and supports a number of non-profit organizations including Sponsors for Educational Opportunity and Green City Force.
